Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II camera to be announced in 2021. The company is planning to announce a new GFX 50S Mark II medium format mirrorless camera and it will replace the current GFX50S model.
Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II is expected to feature the same 50MP sensor as the current GFX 50S, and it will be cheaper than the GFX 100S. So the question is; can the 50MP sensor mentioned for the Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II be a reorganization of the Sony a1 for medium format?
Fujifilm said in an interview that “a camera with a 100MP sensor requires IBIS (in-body camera shake correction)“. For those wondering whether there will be an IBIS for the new Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II, we can definitely say that such a feature will be available. Let’s speculate some Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II specifications which we expect from this medium format camera:
Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II Specs Predictions
- 50MP BSI Phase Detect Medium Format Sensor
- IBIS
- 5.5 fps
- 4K 60 fps video
- Improved AF (40% quicker at least)
- Improved EVF (flicker)
- Seperate battery grip
