Tamron has announced the development of 20-40mm f/2.8 Di III VXD ; an ultra wide-angle to standard zoom lens for Sony E-mount.
The new Tamron 20-40mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A062), will be available in US sometime during fall 2022. Further details, including pricing, will be available in due course. Tamron is well known for making for E-mount. See Tamron lenses here.

Tamron has announced the launch of the 17–70mm F2.8 Di III-A VC RXD, a standard zoom lens for Fujifilm X-mount cameras.
The new FUJIFILM X-mount Lens features a maximum aperture of F2.8 across the entire 4.1x zoom ratio that covers the focal length range of 17-70mm (full-frame equivalent of 25.5-105mm), and superb optical performance. It is a small, lightweight lens equipped with Tamronf s VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism to minimize camera shake. The good news is Tamron confirmed that the 17-70mm f/2.8, a highly popular standard zoom lens, will be announced soon for Fujifilm X series APS-c mirrorless cameras.
Tamron already announced that in terms of lenses for Fujifilm X mount, they plan to launch next a a standard zoom, a wide-angle zoom and a telephoto zoom. It’s highly likely that the Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 DI III-A RXD will be another lens that Tamron will launch, but the telephoto zoom that they mentioned is still unknown for now.
The Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens is available for Sony E-mount at B&H and Adorama.
Here is a good news on the Tamron side. Thirds party lens manufacturer is planning to unveil a Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens by the end of 2022.
The lens will be available for Sony E-mount and use VXD drive to achieve faster AF speed and accuracy. Tamron has received high praise with the introduction of the version II standard zoom lens 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens (Model A063). Since the 28-75mm F2.8 has been remodeled to G2, it seems natural that the 17-28mm F2.8 will also be remodeled to G2.
Tamron has already released the 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens, and it is natural to update the 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD lens.

In addition to the second-gen version of its 28-75mm F2.8 standard zoom lens for the same system, Tamron has announced a 35-150mm F2-2.8 fast, flexible zoom for full-frame Sony E-mount bodies.
The Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD is the world’s first mirrorless zoom lens with a maximum wide-open aperture of F2.
The lens uses the company’s VXD linear motor, which the company says will give fast, precise autofocus, including full compatibility with Sony’s Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF systems.
Minimum focus distance ranges from 33cm (13″) at the wide end to 85cm (33.5″) at full tele, giving a maximum magnification ratio that ranges from 1:5.7 to 1:5.9.
