Tamron has introduced the 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens, a versatile super-telephoto zoom designed for Nikon Z-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. This lens offers a wide focal range from 50mm to 400mm, making it ideal for a variety of photography, including landscapes, wildlife, sports, and portraits. Despite its extensive zoom capabilities, the lens maintains a compact and lightweight design for easier portability.
The lens features VC (Vibration Compensation) for stable handheld shooting, even at longer focal lengths. It also includes VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) technology, providing fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus, suitable for both stills and video. The optical construction includes specialized elements to reduce aberrations and deliver high-resolution, sharp images across the zoom range. Additionally, the lens has a minimum focusing distance of 0.25m (9.8 inches) at 50mm, making it versatile for close-up shots. This makes the Tamron 50-400mm an excellent all-in-one lens for diverse shooting scenarios.
This new lens costs $1,299, available for pre-order at B&H/ Adorama. Continue reading “Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens for Nikon Z mount”
