Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens for Nikon Z mount

Tamron has introduced the 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD Lens, a versatile super-telephoto zoom designed for Nikon Z-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. This lens offers a wide focal range from 50mm to 400mm, making it ideal for a variety of photography, including landscapes, wildlife, sports, and portraits. Despite its extensive zoom capabilities, the lens maintains a compact and lightweight design for easier portability.

The lens features VC (Vibration Compensation) for stable handheld shooting, even at longer focal lengths. It also includes VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) technology, providing fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus, suitable for both stills and video. The optical construction includes specialized elements to reduce aberrations and deliver high-resolution, sharp images across the zoom range. Additionally, the lens has a minimum focusing distance of 0.25m (9.8 inches) at 50mm, making it versatile for close-up shots. This makes the Tamron 50-400mm an excellent all-in-one lens for diverse shooting scenarios.

According to late rumors by CR, the super telephoto zoom lens RF 200-500mm f/4L IS USM lens will be officially announced in the Q4 of 2023 or at the beginning of 2024 along with EOS R1.

Canon has a long history of upgrading its lenses in pairs, and the lack of an RF version of the 500mm has many photographers wondering when it’s coming. However, with the recent launch of the RF 100-300mm f/2.8L IS USM, Canon appears to have taken a fresh approach to its super telephoto lenses.

Canon Announces Short Supply of RF 100-300mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens

Canon updated information on product supply status on April 24, and the “Canon RF 100-300mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens” has been added to the supply shortage list.

Although the shortage of bodies has been resolved, it seems that there is still a shortage of very expensive super telephoto lenses. It seems that the supply shortage of three telephoto lenses, including the RF 100-300mm added this time, has not been resolved. The RF 100-300mm F2.8L IS USM is designed to satisfy the demand for prime-level quality while reimagining the EF 300mm f/2.8 as a zoom lens.
