Tamron to Produce Mirrorless Lenses for Nikon Z-mount

Tamron is rumored to be working on new mirrorless lenses for Nikon Z mount.  There were some information that Tamron is continuing to evaluate and research the future potential of Nikon Z mount lens development.

Now recent rumors indicates that the company is planning to release its entire line of full-frame mirrorless lenses for Nikon Z mount. The COVID-19 has significantly impacted their release schedule.

If the rumor is true,  it is very good news for Nikon Z mount mirrorless camera users. Since the Z mount version of all the series is planned, lenses such as Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 and 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 will be announced for Nikon’s Z mount.

Pre-order : Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD Lens

The Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD Lens for Sony E mount mirrorless cameras is now available for pre-order at major US stores. The US price is $729. Shipping is scheduled to start on June 25, 2020.

Designed for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras the size of this new lens is rumored to be same as Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 Di III RXD lens when it’s collapsed.

Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 Di III RXD Lens Price : $729

The Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 RXD Lens is expected to arrive soon. Official announcement date is scheduled for June 11, 2020. The price of this new lens leaked online and it will cost for $729.

Currently, Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD costs $879 and Tamron 17-28mm F/2.8 Di III RXD lens has a price tag of  $899, so Tamron 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 RXD lens seems much cheaper than these lenses.
