TAMRON Announces the Launch of the World’s First1 Wide Range 4.1x Standard Zoom Lens for FUJIFILM X-mount

Tamron has announced the launch of the 17–70mm F2.8 Di III-A VC RXD, a standard zoom lens for Fujifilm X-mount cameras.

The new FUJIFILM X-mount Lens features a maximum aperture of F2.8 across the entire 4.1x zoom ratio that covers the focal length range of 17-70mm (full-frame equivalent of 25.5-105mm), and superb optical performance. It is a small, lightweight lens equipped with Tamronf s VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism to minimize camera shake. Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Lens for Fujifilm X Coming Soon

The good news is Tamron confirmed that the 17-70mm f/2.8, a highly popular standard zoom lens, will be announced soon for Fujifilm X series APS-c mirrorless cameras.

Tamron already announced that in terms of lenses for Fujifilm X mount, they plan to launch next a a standard zoom, a wide-angle zoom and a telephoto zoom. It’s highly likely that the Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 DI III-A RXD will be another lens that Tamron will launch, but the telephoto zoom that they mentioned is still unknown for now.

The Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens is available for Sony E-mount at B&H and Adorama.

TAMRON Lenses Honored with Two Prestigious TIPA Awards in 2021

Tamron announces the presentation by the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) of its TIPA Award 2021 to two TAMRON lenses: 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (Model B070) for “BEST STANDARD ZOOM LENS” and 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A056) for “BEST TELEPHOTO ZOOM LENS.” TAMRON has been honored with TIPA Awards for eight consecutive years.

Tamron unveils 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens for Sony E mount

Tamron has announced the new 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens for Sony APS-C E-mount mirrorless cameras. Tamron’s new standard zoom for APS-C cameras is compatible with Sony’s Eye AF, Fast Hybrid AF and in-camera lens correction.

The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD boasts a fast maximum aperture across its focal range and is also equipped with Vibration Compensation, making it promising for low-light shooters. According to Tamron,  the VC mechanism on the lens also uses AI technology when shooting video. The VC system also uses a Dual Micro Processing Unit with a built-in Digital Signal Processor. The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD is comprised of 16 elements in 12 groups, of which there are two Glass Moulded Aspherical elements and one hybrid aspherical lens.
