We are getting close to a major Sony announcement.  Sony A7C II, Sony A7C R and Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II lens are scheduled to be announced on August 29th, 2023.

The upcoming Sony a7C II is rumored to feature a 33MP sensor, mirroring the Sony a7 IV‘s capabilities. Similarly, speculations about the Sony a7C R suggest a potential 61MP sensor, aligning with the a7R V‘s configuration.

Here are the rumored pricing for the upcoming Sony a7CII and Sony a7CR cameras:

  • Sony a7CII: €2,700, around $2,500
  • Sony a7CR: €4,200, around $3,400

Updated Sony Camera Roadmap in 2023

Here are the latest rumors on the upcoming Sony Camera Roadmap in 2023. There are many new Sony cameras expected to be released this year. Below you can find the list of rumored Sony compact cameras, E-mount cameras to be announced in 2023.

We hope these expectations will come true and we will meet the Sony ZV Full Frame Mirrorless Camera, Sony a6700/a7000 APS-C Mirrorless Camera, Sony a7C II, Sony a9 III, Sony A7S IV, Sony ZV-E20 & ZV-E10 II, Sony FX6 II and Sony A1 II.

Rumors: Sony a7C Mark II to be Announced in Late 2023 w/ 33MP

The a7C is a success full frame vlogging camera on the market. The a7C Mark II is expected to feature a higher megapixel CMOS sensor, could use Sony a7 IV‘s 33MP Exmor R CMOS Sensor. According to latest rumors, the upcoming Sony a7C II announcement and release date will both happen in 2023.

The Sony a7C Mark II will be a compact version of recently released Sony a7 IV, shares the same image sensor and IBIS. The compact full frame mirrorless will have the same IBIS unit, that we have seen in the Sony A74 camera. But, the EVF is expected to remain the same as the current Sony A7C.

Also  the new camera code WW694956 could be the rumored Sony a7C II. Stay tuned for more information.

New Sony FE 20-70mm f/4 G Lens (SEL2070G) Coming Soon

Sony is rumored to announce a new FE 20-70mm f/4 G lens (SEL2070G) lens in the next few weeks. According to recent rumors, Sony will soon announce a new camera too. The new camera code is WW694956.

Currently, no info about the new WW694956 camera, could be the rumored Sony a7C Mark II.

The original Sony 24-70mm f/4 is quite compact and lightweight, but it was never the best performer. Stay tuned for more info.
