Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 Aspherical Lens Announced for Fujifilm X-mount

The new Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 Aspherical Lens for Fujifilm X mount is now officially announced. The Japanese suggested retail price is ￥78,000 (excluding tax). The US pricing has not announced yet, and it will be released in August 2021.

The NOKTON 35mm F1.2 X mount is a large aperture standard lens designed exclusively for the Fujifilm X mount. The lens configuration uses a traditional double-Gauss type. A large aperture of F1.2 is realized in the style of “8-element” in which all lenses arranged almost symmetrically around the aperture position are composed of spherical surfaces. Despite its compact size, it has stable descriptive power even when the aperture is wide open, allowing you to enjoy smooth and large bokeh. Canon Patents for RF 24mm f/1.2, RF 28mm f/1.2 and RF 35mm f/1.2 Lenses

Here are several new Canon patents application that shows optical formulas for three fast prime lenses. These Canon lenses are the RF 35mm f/1.2L, 35mm f/1.4L, 28mm f/1.2L and 24mm f/1.2L.

We think these patents might well go into production. All products are designed to use on Canon’s full frame mirrorless camera system. Both the Canon EOS R5 and the EOS R6 are super hot selling mirrorless cameras on the market. Canon EOS R5 in stock.

New ZY Optics Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm f//0.95 Lens for L-mount

ZY Optics released a new version of their Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 version III for full frame L mount (Sigma FP, Panasonic S1 and S1H, Leica SL, SL2).

The price of the new lens is $799 and you can order with free international shipping. The bright prime lens is also available for Nikon Z, Sony E, and Canon RF mounts.

The ZY Optics Mitakon 50mm f/0.95 M-mount lens weighs 1.38 lb. (675g). The lens is 3.46″ (88mm) long and has a maximum diameter of 2.95″ (75mm). The lens has a 75mm filter thread.  Other features include a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, an aperture range of F0.95 through F16 and a 100cm (3.25ft) minimum focusing distance. Panasonic Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 L-Mount Lens Officially Announced

Panasonic officially announced the new Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 lens for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras. The US price is $447.99 and the lens is available for pre-order at Adorama | B&H. Shipping is scheduled to start in July 2021.

Its 50mm focal length is ideally suited for portraiture, landscapes, and all-purpose shooting and provides a modestly bright f/1.8 maximum aperture for shallow depth of field control. Three aspherical lenses including an extra-low dispersion element and an ultra-high refractive index element reduce chromatic aberration and color fringing for improved clarity and color accuracy. The lens has a nine-blade aperture to ensure out-of-focus highlights remain circular as you stop the lens down, and its focus group is driven by a linear motor.

Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH Lens Officially Announced

The new Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH Lens is now officially announced.  Two new bundle options with the SL2 and SL2-S were also introduced. The US price of the lens is $2,795 and available for pre-order at B&H, Adorama.

The telephoto zoom lens consists of 19 elements in 15 groups, with three of the elements having aspherical surfaces. The focus group is made up of a single element and is driven by a quiet stepping motor

The body is weather-sealed and uses 82mm filters. Lighter than the older Leica Vario Elmarit SL 24-90mm ASPH, (856g / 1.9 lb compared to 1,140g / 2.5 lb), the new lens offers similar build-quality, and a high standard of construction.
