Pentax K3 Mark III Release Date Scheduled for Next Week

The highly anticipated Pentax K3 Mark III is now scheduled to be released next week. Here is the story.

Ricoh was set to launch the camera during the CP+ 2021 event, however, the launch of the Pentax K-3 Mark III APS-C DSLR has been delayed. This was due to a parts shortage.

Now according to rcent reports, the new Pentax K-3 Mark III Body, PENTAX K-3 Mark III Kit & Battery Grip D-BG8 have been added to overseas dealers and will be available for pre-order next week.

The K-3 Mark III camera will have a new 25.73MP APS-C CMOS image sensor. ISO will range from 100 all the way up to 1,600,000 and the camera will feature sensor-shift image stabilization. The Pentax K-3 price to be around $1,999.

Several new Pentax products, including the K-3 Mark III, are already listed at a dealer/online store and will be available for pre-order next week:

  • PENTAX K-3 Mark III camera body (black/silver)
  • PENTAX K-3 Mark III lens kit (black/silver)
  • PENTAX battery grip D-BG8
  • PENTAX hot shoe cover O-HC177
  • PENTAX eye cup FU

The Pentax K-3 Mark III firmware with Eye-AF also seems to be finalized according to multiple posts at the Chinese forum Xitek.

Pentax K3 Mark III Launch Delayed Indefinitely

Ricoh announces its Pentax K-3 Mark III APS-C DSLR has been delayed due to a parts shortage, The K3 Mark III DSLR that was scheduled to be announced at Japan’s CP+ show on February 25 now delayed indefinitely.

Pentax was set to launch the camera during the CP+ 2021 event, which takes place between February 25 and 28. However, the launch of the camera has been delayed.

The K-3 Mark III camera will have a new 25.73MP APS-C CMOS image sensor. ISO will range from 100 all the way up to 1,600,000 and the camera will feature sensor-shift image stabilization. New Pentax K-3 Mark III Product Story: Exposure Control Function

Ricoh posted a new product story about the exposure control function of the upcoming Pentax K-3 Mark III camera.

The company also confirmed they will take part of the 2021 CP+ online show in Japan (from Thursday, February 25 to Sunday, February 28, 2021). Additional content will be published on this dedicated website.

More Pentax K-3 Mark III Details

More Pentax K-3 Mark III details surfaced on the web ahead of the official announcement.  We already know that the name is confirmed and full specs. Pentax K-3 III launch date is around the period of the CP+ camera exhibition, which will be held from February 25 to 28 in 2021.

Ricoh has released more details on the next DSLR, Pentax K-3 III. The camera has been in development and with this announcement the name is confirmed as the K-3 III, plus pricing information and expected release date.

So what we know about the new Pentax K-3 III is its product name confirmation. The launch target is around the period of the CP+ camera exhibition, which will be held from February 25 to 28 in 2021.

Pentax K-3 III Rumored to Feature 26MP Sensor

The next Pentax K-3 III DSLR camera is rumored to use Sony’s 26MP APS-C Sensor. This is the one that Fuji uses the customized version on Sony 26MP X-Trans Sensor on their Fuji X-T3 and Fuji X-T30 cameras.

Pentax K-3 III camera ir rumored to be announced in 2020. In an interview in 2018, Ricoh already confirmed that a Pentax K-3 replacement is coming.
