LensRentals.com announced the rankings of the top rented photography equipment in 2020. Since 2017, the Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8 L II USM lens has consistently ranked first in their system and always a hot rental item of photographic equipment.

In addition, the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV has been the most popular camera among rental users since its release in 2016. Nikon to end 70 years of camera production in Japan

After 70 years Nikon to end camera production in Japan, manufacturing moving to Thailand by the end of 2021. Japanese publication AERAdot (translatedhas reported that Nikon is ending domestic camera production in Japan.

Cost-cutting is the main reason for the move. The Nikon factory in Sendai will continue to play an important role in future camera production. Currently, Z6 & Z7 and Z-mount lens production have already moved to Thailand, and D6 production will be moved to Thailand by the end of 2021. More details after the break ! SIGMA Rumored to Produce Nikon Z and Canon RF Mount Lenses in 2021

According to recent reports, Sigma is going to produce lenses for both Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts in 2021. So far, Sigma’s mirrorless lenses have only been available in L mount for Panasonic, Leica and their own cameras and Sony E mount.

Back in February, the company had plans for RF mount but still couldn’t decide if they were planning to make lenses for Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts or not. Now latest rumors suggests that the lens manufacturer is working on Nikon Z and Canon RF mount lenses and we may see some official announcements from Sigma in 2021. Nikon Updated Z Lens Roadmap

Nikon has released an updated version of their Z lens roadmap with silhouettes of upcoming Nikkor lenses, including two super-telephoto lenses and one macro prime lens.

There are eleven lens silhouettes and three of them are new: the ‘Micro 50mm,’ the 400mm S-Line and the 600mm S-line. Below is another roadmap from Nikon that shows the focal length coverage of current and future lenses .
