More NIKKOR Z f/1.2 Prime Lenses Coming in 2020

Nikon is rumored to announce more NIKKOR Z-mount lenses with f/1.2 bright aperture. According to latest rumors from NR, Nikon is planning to launch more f/1.2 high-end prime lenses for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras.

Currently, there is only one f/1.2 prime lens in the Nikon Z-mount lens roadmap and it is the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S Lens.

Canon has already released RF 50mm f/1.2L and RF 85mm f/1.2L prime lenses for Canon full frame mirrorless cameras. We hope the same for Nikon and wish to see they also release NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S lens in near future.

Nikon N1936 Battery Pack Registered in Russia (For Nikon Z8 ?)

Nikon has registered a new battery pack N1936 with the Russian certification authority.

We already published details about the high-end Nikon Z8 full frame mirrorless camera that s rumored to have the same Sony a7R IV‘s 61MP full frame CMOS sensor, dual SD and CF express cards slots, a fully functioning vertical grip, pro body. It will be more expensive than Nikon Z6 and Z7.

Nikon Z8 and D880 Rumored to Feature 60MP Sony IMX455 Sensor

Both the upocoming Nikon Z8 and D880 full frame cameras are rumored to feature 60MP Sony IMX455 sensor.

According to latest rumors, Nikon is  rumored to announce a new high-end/professional Z-mount full frame mirrorless camera in 2020.  The name of this high-end/professional full frame mirrorless camera would be Nikon Z8, which has been in the rumor mill for a long time.

The Nikon Z8 will feature the 60MP IMX455 sensor found in the Sony a7R IV. The Z8 body to have dual CFexpress card slots and a vertical grip. It will be more expensive than Nikon Z6 & Z7. The release date for Nikon Z8 camera will be in late 2020.

So what’s next for Nikon. The upcoming Nikon D880 (Replacement of D850) is expected to arrive after the Z8 announcement. According to rumor mill, we’ll see the D850 replacement in early 2021.The high-resolution DSLR will also feature with 60MP IMX455 sensor from Sony a7R IV.
