Canon RF 400mm f/2.8, RF 600mm f/4, 100mm f/2.8 Macro Lenses Announced

Along with the Canon EOS R3 development announcement, Canon has announced three new RF mount lenses, including the 400mm f/2.8, and 600mm f/4 telephoto lenses, and the 100mm f/2.8 MACRO IS USM.

The optical image stabilisation (IS) system provides up to 5.5 stops on the RF 400 and RF 600mm lenses, and up to 8-stops on the 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens when used with the Canon EOS R5 or R6 and the in-body image stabilisation. The Macro lens also offers up to 1.4x magnification, which Canon say is a Worlds first for an AF macro lens on full-frame cameras.

The Canon RF 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM, RF 400mm F2.8L and 600mm F4L will start shipping from July. US Prices are as follows :

Pictures of the new Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L MACRO IS USM lens

Here are the first leaked pictures of the upcoming Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L MACRO IS USM lens. This is one of the three new Canon mirrorless lenses that should be announced in the next few weeks.

The announcement of the macro lens will happen along with the other two telephoto lenses: RF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM lens and RF 600mm f/4L IS USM lens. Canon RF 600mm f/4L IS USM, RF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM and RF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro Coming Soon

Canon will soon announce the RF 600mm f/4L IS USM, RF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM and RF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro lenses.

According to the latest rumors from Nokishita-C, Canon will officially announce three new RF lenses in late April.  

  • Canon RF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro
  • Canon RF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM
  • Canon RF 600mm f/4L IS USM

Canon RF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro lens is probably the most requested new lens for the RF mount. Canon RF Lens Roadmap already includes the  but this will be better for its aperture and focal length. bout the price tag we can clearly say that RF 100mm f/2.8 IS USM Macro Lens will cost $2,000 at the least.

According to the latest rumors, Canon RF 100mm f/2L IS USM Macro lens is in  hands of some selected photographers and will be announced later 2020.

The telephoto prime macro lens is expected to arrive in late 2020 and not much information more about it yet. Venus Optics released Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO Lens Released for Canon RF and Nikon Z Mounts.

In addition to the Sony E-mount version, the Venus Optics Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO lens is now available for Canon RF and Nikon Z mounts. The US price is $449 and can be purchased from Adorama and B&H.

Characterized by its close-focusing capabilities and apochromatic design, the Canon RF-mount Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO from Venus Optics is a unique and versatile short-telephoto prime. Featuring a pair of low dispersion elements, color fringing and chromatic aberrations have been virtually eliminated throughout the focusing range in order to achieve high clarity and color accuracy. The lens’s manual focus design also suits its macro capabilities, which permit working with subjects as close as 2:1 with a minimum focusing distance of 9.7″. Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x Macro Lens Price, Specs, Availability

Laowa have released price, specs and availability information for the 65mm f/2.8 2x macro lens.

The Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2X Macro APO will be available for Canon EOS M, Fujj X and Sony E mirrorless camera systems. The price of this manual lens is $399. Laowa lenses are listed at B&H Photo and Adorama.

Venus Optics claims that this is the only APS-C mirrorless lens currently on the market capable of achieving a 2:1 magnification.

The 65mm f/2.8 is a compact macro lens available for Fuji X, Sony E and Canon M mount cameras. Venus Optics say they specially designed this lens for use with mirrorless cameras which use APS-C sensors.

Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro APO Lens Review

Here is the first review of the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro APO lens for DSLR cameras.

This new 100mm lens can cover full frame sensor size and focus from 2:1 magnification to infinity. Tokina FiRIN 100mm f/2.8 FE Macro Lens for Sony E-Mount

Tokina FiRIN 100mm f/2.8 FE Macro lens now officially announced. Designed for Sony E-Mount cameras, Tokina FíRIN 100mm f/2.8 FE MACRO is the second lens in FíRIN series designed to help shooting artistic photos of people, landscape or things at a very close distance, allowing to see the details that human eyes would hardly see.
