Lomography has announced a new Petzval 55mm f/1.7 MKII lens designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras.
According to Lomography, the lens ‘is created with discerning photographers and filmmakers in mind’ and ‘designed to allow full creative flexibility, with its 7 levels of Bokeh Control and Dual Aperture system.’ Like other Lomography lenses, the Petzval 55mm f/1.7 MKII comes with various plates to shape the bokeh in images. Canon is working on a new RF 500mm f/4L IS USM lens, which will be the first super telephoto lens for the RF mount.
In addition, a new Canon RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM lens is also in development. Canon tends to announce super telephoto lenses in pairs, so maybe we’ll see that Canon RF 500mm f/4L IS USM & RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM lens will be announced together.

First images of the Panasonic 10-25mm f/1.7 lens and Panasonic 1.4x/2.0x teleconverters for L-mount have been leaked online.
Designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras, this lens should deliver superb image quality like the Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 or the 25mm f/1.4 MFT lens.
With a constant aperture of F1.7 throughout its 10-25mm focal range (20-50mm in 35mm terms), it is a big and heavy lens by Micro Four Thirds standards and the price would be expensive around $2,500. Tamron has filed a new patent in Japan. This patent describes a Tamron 485mm f/5.8 lens for mirrorless cameras with Micro Four Thirds image sensors.
If we see this in mass production than it would be Tamron’s second optic for Micro 4/3rds. First one released back in mid-2014 as the Tamron 14-150mm F/3.5-5.8 Di III ($399). Tamron 480mm f/5.8 Lens for Micro Four Thirds will offer a 960mm equivalent range in 35mm format and probably use a stepper motor for silent autofocus. The new Voigtlander Nokton 21mm f/1.4 Aspherical FE Lens for Sony E-mount will be released in June, 2019.
The Japanese price for the wide-angle prime optic is 159,300 yen, the same price as the Nokton 40mm f/1.2 FE lens. According to the conversion the US price of this Voigtlander Nokton 21mm f/1.4 Aspherical FE lens to be around $1,100.
