The Panasonic Lumix GH6 mirrorless camera was officially announced on February 21, 2022. Featuring a new 25.2MP live MOS micro four thirds sensor, the Panasonic GH6 is capable of high-speed burst shooting at 14 (AFS) / 8 (AFC) fps with a mechanical shutter and 75 fps with an electronic shutter, and internally recording 5.7K/30p video in Apple ProRes 422 HQ, 10-bit 4:2:2 video at up to DCI 4K/60p, 10-bit 4:2:0 video at up to 4K/120p, and FHD video tops out at 1080/240p. The GH6 also contains V-Log/V-Gamut – a first for LUMIX G Micro Four Thirds cameras – and provides 12+ stops and even 13+ stops of wide dynamic range using Dynamic Range Boost mode. For unprecedented image stability, the Panasonic GH6 offers 5-axis Dual I.S. 2, combining control of the Body I.S. and Lens O.I.S. to offer 7.5 stops’ worth of correction. So, with its vast range of video modes, unlimited recording times and superb stabilization, the Panasonic GH6 is probably the ultimate all-rounder for filmmakers and YouTubers.
The Panasonic GH6 is scheduled to start shipping on March 25, 2022, and it is expected to be one of the best selling video-focused mirrorless cameras in 2022.
