Nikon Released New Firmware Updates for the D600, D610 and D750 DSLRs

New firmware updates for the Nikon D750, D610, D600 DSLR cameras becomes official and released.

This firmware mainly fixes an issue that resulted in over-application of distortion control in pictures taken with an AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR lens.

Development of Tamron FE 17-28mm f/2.8, SP 35mm f/1.4, 35-150mm f/2.8-4 Lenses Announced

Tamron officially announces the development of three new full-frame lenses; two for Canon & Nikon full-frame DSLRs and one for Sony E-mount full-frame cameras.

The new Tamron lenses will be the SP 35mm F1.4 Di USD and 35-150mm F2.8-4 Di VC OSD for Canon and Nikon DSLRs, as well as an ultra-wide 17-28mm F2.8 Di III RXD for Sony E-mount cameras.

Tamron will display these new lenses at CP+ 2019, the World Premiere show for camera and photo imaging, beginning February 28 through March 3, 2019 at Pacifico Yokohama and at the Wedding and Portrait Professionals International (WPPI), February 27 through March 3, 2019 in Las Vegas.

The Canon EOS RP full frame mirrorless camera User’s Manual is now available for download.

Canon EOS RP (B&H, Adorama, Amazon) is a compact full-frame mirrorless camera that features a 26MP CMOS sensor, Digic 8 processor and Dual Pixel AF system with 88% x 100% coverage and Eye AF. The lightweight body has a 2.36M-dot EVF, 3″ fully articulating LCD and capture 4K/24p video with a substantial crop and has HDMI, headphone and microphone sockets.

Nikon Announced the Development of New Firmware for the Z6, Z7, D5, D850 and D500

Nikon has announced more details of firmware in development for the Z6, Z7, D5, D850 and D500 cameras.

As previously reported, firmware is being planned that will add Eye-detection AF, CFexpress support and Raw video over HDMI to the Z6 and Z7, with AF and AE improvements also coming in May.

You might familiar with Eye AF which is found on Sony mirrorless cameras, including the a7 III and a7R III against which the Z6 and Z7 compete. Another significant upcoming feature is the ability to output ProRes RAW video to an Atomos Ninja V. This would make the  and  the first stills/video hybrid cameras to support RAW video output. Check out the details below. Canon Announces the Development of Six New RF Lenses

Along with the new Canon EOS RP (B&H, Adorama, Amazon.) full frame mirrorless camera, Canon also announced the development of six RF lenses: RF 85mm F1.2 L USM, RF 85mm F1.2 L USM DS, RF 24-70mm F2.8 L IS USM, RF 15-35mm F2.8 L IS USM, RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM, RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM.
