Fujifilm X100V Coming with Improved 23mm f/2 lens

Fujifilm X100V  premium compact camera is rumored to be announced on February 4, 2020. The good news is that the successor to the Fujifilm X100F (Amazon | B&H | Adorama) to feature improved 23mm f/2 lens.

Fujifilm’s goal with the X100-series is to achieve the best image quality without compromise and design it to fit in a slim, compact body that you will take everywhere.

This was achieved through the incorporation of a non-interchangeable, non-collapsible, fixed focal length lens. So with the Fujifilm X100V, the company will offer an improved version of 23mm f/2 but with better close focusing and weather-resistant (WR)  feature. Fujifilm X-T4, X100V and XT200 Rumors Roundup. Fujifilm now has 3 new upcoming cameras registered with China’s MIIT and the US FCC:

  • FF190003 (the announcement is now delayed until February 4)
  • FF190004
  • FF190005

Fujifilm X100V  and Fujifilm X-T4 camers are rumored to be announced on February 4, 2020.

Fujifilm X100V and Fujifilm X-T4 to be Announced on February 4

Fujifilm X100V  and Fujifilm X-T4 camers are rumored to be announced on February 4, 2020.

According to recent reports two new Fujifilm camera codes FF190004 and FF190005 now registered in China MIT.

  • FF190004 – Fujifilm X-T3 successor
  • FF190005 – Fujifilm X100V

The successor to the Fujifilm X100F (Amazon | B&H | Adorama) previously rumored for late 2019 launch but the premium compact shooter will arrive in 2020.

Fujifilm XF 50mm f/1.0 R WR Lens to be Announced Soon

Fuji is rumored to announce the  in early 2020. The official announcement of this sleek short telephoto prime will happen in January to February, 2020.

The XF 50mm f/1.0 R WR for Fujifilm X-series mirrorless cameras will offer a 76mm equivalent focal length to suit a variety of applications, including portraiture and still lifes. The lens is expected to be big and heavy and bright f/1.0 maximum aperture benefit working in low-light conditions and also afford a high degree of control over depth of field. Fujifilm X-Pro3 Images & Specs

Here are first leaked images and specs of upcoming Fujifilm X-Pro3 X-mount mirrorless camera. The Fujifilm X-Pro3 will be officially announced on October 23rd, 2019.

The X-Pro3 uses the back illuminated 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and the X-Processor 4 image processing engine. As a result it provides superb image & 4K video quality and autofocus performance. The X-Pro3 uses an improved algorithm to enable autofocus at the minimum luminance of -6EV, a new HDR shooting function, which combines multiple continuously shot images of different exposure levels to expand the dynamic range.

Fujifilm XF 50mm f/1 R WR Lens in Development instead of 33mm f/1

Alongside the announcement of the X-Pro 3 camera, Fujifilm has said it is developing a XF 50mm f/1.0 lens for its X-mount mirrorless cameras and cancelling the promised 33mm f/1.

As part of the presentation, Fujifilm’s Head of Product Planning, Takashi Ueno said that the XF 33mm f/1 R WR Lens had become too big and heavy as it was being developed. The latest prototype weighed 1300g (45.8oz), included 15 elements and necessitated the addition of a tripod foot. Instead the company has said it will build a 50mm F1.0, that can be under 900g (31.7oz).

Fujifilm X-Pro3 unveiled with Titanium Body, Hidden LCD and New Film Simulation

Fujifilm have unveiled the new X-Pro3 rangefinder-style mirrorless camera at an X-summit event in Shibuya, Japan. The Fujifilm X-Pro3 camera will be officially announced on October 23rd.

For a development announcement, Fuji actually shared quite a bit about the camera in their livestream. The new model will be made out of titanium, making it 10x more scratch-resistant than a stainless steel chassis.

It will also feature an innovative “hidden” LCD screen on the rear, plus a smaller miniature screen which will display basic exposure information and even the currently selected film simulation.  Other new features include a Classic Negative film simulation mode, improved optical and electronic viewfinders.
