Atomos has released new firmware updates for the Ninja V that adds new raw video recording capabilities for the Fujifilm GFX100 and Sigma fp cameras.
On a GFX 100 running firmware version 2.01 or later, the Ninja V can now record 12-bit 4K ProRes RAW video at up to 30p over HDMI. This marks the first time users can capture Raw footage on the large format camera.
As an alternative to Raw video, the Atomos firmware update also enables 10-bit 422 ProRes and DNx 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) capture up to 30p or 4K DCI (4096 × 2160) at up to 24p. Multiple monitoring modes have also been added for viewing and playing back Raw footage.
The Atomos Ninja V update now enables Apple ProRes Raw video recording over rHDMI with the Sigma fp at 4k DCI p24 or 4k UHD up to p30 directly from the camera’s full-frame sensor.
