Sony a9 II, FE 24mm f/1.4 GM and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Firmware Updates Released

Sony released  new firmware updates for the Sony a9 II, FE 24mm f/1.4 GM and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM.

Firmware update version 1.0.1 for A9 II improves the overall stability and performance of the camera while firmware version 02 for 24mm f/1.4 GM (Amazon | B&H Photo Video) and 135mm f/1.4 GM (Adorama | Amazon) lenses improves aperture response when these lenses attached to the ILCE-9, ILCE-9M2 and ILCE-7RM4 camera models.

Updated Fujifilm LUT for F-Log Now Available

Updated Fujifilm LUT for F-Log Now Available online.

This LUT file is to edit the movie data below when the data is edited by a movie editor on your PC or Mac.

  • 4K movie data of X-T2 recorded in external HDMI devices with the mode of the “HDMI F-Log” under the “4K MOVIE OUTPUT” in the “MOVIE SETTING”
  • 4K and Full HD movie data of GFX100, X-T30, X-T3 , X-Pro3 and X-H1 recorded on SD cards or in external HDMI devices with the mode of the “F-Log RECORDING” in the “MOVIE SETTING”

Canon released the new firmware update version 1.0.6 for Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens.

This new firmware for the RF70-200mm fixes some users experienced front-focusing issues when focusing on a subject close to the minimum focusing distance at the telephoto end.

Canon Announces Future Firmware Plan for RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens

Canon announced that they are planning to release a new firmware for Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens in January 2020.

Fujifilm X-T3, X-Pro3, X-T100, X-A7, X-A5, XF10, and FinePix XP140 Firmware Updates

Fujifilm released the Fujifilm X-T3, X-Pro3, X-T100, X-A7, X-A5, XF10, and FinePix XP140 updates.

With the firmware update version 3.10 for Fujifilm X-T3 enables controls for video recording from Gimbal / Drone via USB communications and Fujifilm also plans to deploy this function to the Fujifilm X-T30, as well as other models. X-Pro3 has a minor upgrade as mentioned below.

Nikon Z6/Z7 Firmware V.2.20 Released

Nikon officially released the firmware version 2.20 for Nikon Z6 & Z7 which adds support for CFexpress memory cards and paid RAW video upgrade.

The main update is that Z6 & Z7 now support CFexpress memory cards, currently only Sony CFexpress cards are fully supported by Nikon Z6 & Z7.

Nikon also announced that Z6 and Z7 owners can send their cameras to a Nikon Service Center for a paid upgrade ($200) to add Raw video output.

The RAW video output capability upgrade will be included free of charge as part of the Nikon Z 6 Filmmaker’s kit bundle: Adorama | B&H Photo | Amazon.

Canon EOS R Firmware Update Version 1.6.0 Released

Canon released a new firmware version 1.6.0 for the Canon EOS R full-frame mirrorless camera. This is a minor firmware update with a lot of bug fixes and support for RF 85mm F1.2L USM DS lens.

Nikon Z6 & Z7 Firmware Update Version 2.10 Released

Nikon officially released the firmware update version 2.10 for Nikon Z6 & Z7 which adds support for NIKKOR Z DX 16–50mm f/3.5–6.3 VR and NIKKOR Z DX 50–250mm f/4.5–6.3 VR lenses and fixes several issues.

Sony adds Real-Time Animal Eye AF to RX10 IV

Sony has released a new firmware update for the RX10 IV, which adds the company’s Real-Time Animal Eye AF functionality, as well as other performance enhancements.

Sony RX10 IV firmware version 2.0 adds the AI-driven Real-Time Eye AF technology for detecting both animals and humans within the frame.
