Nikon COOLPIX P950 Firmware Update Ver1.1 Released

Nikon just released the new firmware version 1.1 for Nikon COOLPIX P950 camera.

Changes from Firmware Version 1.0 to 1.1

• Fixed an issue that caused pairing between the camera and devices running the SnapBridge app under iOS 14 or iPadOS 14 to fail.

Canon PowerShot Pick to be Announced Soon

Canon will soon announce a new AI-powered PowerShot camera, and now it seems that this new camera will be called the “Canon PowerShot Pick“.

DC Watch reported that the pre-sale of the new concept camera “Canon PowerShot PICK” will begin via the Japanese crowdfunding site Makuake on January 29, 2021. Specification and price informations are scheduled to be released on January 29th. This is Canon’s third concept camera, following the carabiner-style “iNSPIiC REC” and the telescope-type camera “PowerShot ZOOM”.

  • The PowerShot PICK is a new concept camera that realizes a new way to enjoy photography and video shooting with the optical technology and video processing technology that Canon has cultivated.
  • PowerShot PICK itself automatically finds a person’s face, notices changes in the image reflected on the lens, and automatically determines “now is the photo opportunity” and shoots.

Leica Q2 Monochrom 47MP Full-Frame Camera

Leica has announced the new Q2 Monochrom, a full-frame compact camera with a dedicated black and white sensor. Monochrome version of the 47.3mp Leica Q2 features a newly developed full-frame 47.3 megapixel monochrome sensor, 4K video mode, fast 28mm F1.7 Summilux prime lens, precise autofocus and 3.68mp OLED viewfinder technology.

The camera has one-button cropping to 35, 50 and 75mm, with a drop in resolution with as you go. For those who want the unique look of black and white video, the Q2 Monochrom can capture both DCI and UHD 4K at up to 30p. The Q2 Monochrom is available now for $5995 at Adorama | B&H.
