Canon RF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS Lens Patent

Here is a Canon patent application (2019-020679) for a RF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 IS lens. Designed for Canon full frame mirrorless camera system, this lens is the EOS R version of the budget-friendly telephoto zoom for the consumer market.

The Canon RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM lens is a super-fast zoom for R-series full-frame mirrorless system.

Actually the official announcement is expected to bring 8 new Canon RF lenses. 3 of the lenses could be the development announcement for 2019 such as RF 90mm f/2.8L Macro and RF 16-35mm f/2.8L.

The upcoming Canon EOS RP will be a new entry level full-frame mirrorless camera. It is rumored to be priced at $1599 USD and will have only one card slot. The official announcement of the EOS RP will be on February 14, 2019.

Canon would follow up the EOS R with a lower-end model. According to recent reports, the EOS RP will be cheaper and shoot 4K video from a 26MP sensor.
