Zeiss Unveils 18mm, 40mm, 65mm, 135mm T1.5 Lenses

Zeiss expanded its popular cinema line with adding another four prime lenses. Zeiss adds 18mm, 40mm, 65mm and 135mm T1.5 lenses to its Supreme Prime Radiance range of cine lenses.  The new Zeiss Supreme Prime Radiance lenses will be available in Q3 of this year, and can be pre-ordered now from retailers such as B&H Photo Video.

The Supreme Prime Radiance lenses already exist in 21mm, 25mm, 29mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm. With the newest additions to this family, Zeiss also introduced the reworked and improved T* coating. It allows you to make the flares planned and reproduced, but also to maintain contrast and avoid transmission loss that would occur with uncoated lens elements. In the video below, you can see the comparison between the new ZEISS Supreme Radiance lenses and regular ZEISS Supreme Prime lenses.

Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens Becomes Official

Sony FE 14mm f/1.8 GM Lens Officially Announced

Sony has just announced the impressively small FE 14mm f/1.8 GM. The company expands its E-mount lens lineup with the introduction of the groundbreaking FE 14mm F1.8 G Master (model SEL14F18GM) – a compact, large F1.8 aperture, ultra-wide angle lens that allows users to capture the world with new perspectives by delivering sharp resolution from corner to corner with little to no distortion, especially when shooting landscapes, architecture, starry skies and interiors.

The lens is surprisingly compact and lightweight: approximately 1/3 the weight of the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art FE ($1,599) (460 vs 1170 grams).

The US price of the lens is $1,598, and the preorders will start on April 21 at 10am ET at B&HPhoto.

DJI Air 2S Announced, Specs, Price starting at $999

DJI has unveiled the DJI Air 2S which it claims is the first drone of its size to feature a 1-inch type sensor and capture 20Mp stills or 5.4K video. This size of sensor and video resolution has previously been the preserve of larger drones.

Follow up to the compact Mavic Air 2, which is priced at $799, the drone features a camera with a 1″ sensor, capable of capturing 20MP photos and up to 5.4K/30p or 4K/60p video. Improvements in its Spotlight 2.0 tracking capabilities, plus an upgraded APAS 4.0 obstacle avoidance and detection system, have also been added.

The Air 2S comes with sensors on top of the aircraft and also features four-way obstacle avoidance detection. According to DJI, APAS 4.0 offers a wider FOV for improved detection of obstructions. When recording up to 4K/30p video, the drone can instantly maneuver over, under and around obstacles.

DJI Care Refresh is available and covers incidents including water damage, flyaways and collisions. The Air 2S is now available for purchase starting at $999 for the drone, remote, one battery and basic parts. The Fly More Combo retails for $1,299 and includes two additional batteries, a set of four ND filters, a charging hub and bag to carry it all. Fujifilm XF 18mm f/1.4 R LM WR Lens Officially Announced

The Fujifilm XF 18mm f/1.4 R WR Lens is now officially announced. The Fujifilm XF 18mm f/1.4 R LM WR is a fast prime lens for X Series mirrorless cameras that provides a 35mm equivalent focal length of 27mm.

Fujifilm already have a 27mm lens in diminutive shape of the XF 18mm F2, which was actually one of the very first lenses that Fuji released back in 2012. The XF 18mm F1.4 is a much larger lens than the 18mm F2, but it’s still relatively small and light enough to feel well-balanced even on the X-S10 that we tested it with, which is one of the smaller X-series camera bodies.

Weighing 370g and measuring 68.8mm x 75.6mm with a reasonable 62mm filter size, the new 18mm is very similar to the 16mm, 23mm and 35mm lenses. The Fujifilm XF 18mm F1.4 R LM WR lens will be available in late May for $999.

Canon RF 400mm f/2.8, RF 600mm f/4, 100mm f/2.8 Macro Lenses Announced

Along with the Canon EOS R3 development announcement, Canon has announced three new RF mount lenses, including the 400mm f/2.8, and 600mm f/4 telephoto lenses, and the 100mm f/2.8 MACRO IS USM.

The optical image stabilisation (IS) system provides up to 5.5 stops on the RF 400 and RF 600mm lenses, and up to 8-stops on the 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens when used with the Canon EOS R5 or R6 and the in-body image stabilisation. The Macro lens also offers up to 1.4x magnification, which Canon say is a Worlds first for an AF macro lens on full-frame cameras.

The Canon RF 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM, RF 400mm F2.8L and 600mm F4L will start shipping from July. US Prices are as follows :

Canon EOS R3 Camera Now Listed at B&H

Canon has announced the new EOS R3, a high-speed mirrorless camera, aimed at professional sports photographers, with weather-sealing, a new Canon BSI CMOS sensor and Eye-AF control.

Canon EOS R3 will be built around a Stacked CMOS sensor and will use Canon’s Dual Pixel AF design. It will also offer Eye Control AF, which uses the position of the photographer’s eye to select the initial position for autofocus or subject tracking.

TTArtisan 21mm f/1.5 lens for Nikon Z, Sony E, Canon R and Leica L

The TTArtisan 21mm f/1.5 lens is now available for Nikon Z, Sony E, Canon R, and Leica L mounts.

Fast and wide, the 21mm f/1.5 from TTArtisan is an ultra-wide prime designed for mirrorless cameras. The broad field of view is complemented by the bright f/1.5 maximum aperture, which excels in low-light conditions as well as for isolating subjects using selective focus techniques. The lens’s manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 2.3′ away and it features a 10-blade diaphragm that contributes to a smooth bokeh quality. Samyang AF 24mm f/1.8 FE Astrophotography Lens for Sony E-mount

The new Samyang AF 24mm f/1.8 FE for Sony full-frame E-mount cameras. The wide-angle prime lens has been specially optimized for astrophotography.

Weighing only 230g and measuring just 71mm in length, the Samyang 24mm F1.8 lens features a new function called “Custom Mode” which automatically move the focus directly to infinity, complete with an LED indicator.
