Nikon is developing NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 and NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 Lenses

The NIKKOR Z lineup continues to expand at an unprecedented pace, with an evolving roadmap that includes a wide variety of planned lenses. To address consumer requests for small, sharp, high-quality prime lenses, Nikon is excited to announce the development of the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 and NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2, two compact and lightweight FX-format lenses. These lenses are scheduled for release within 2021.

The NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 will be a wide-angle prime lens ideal for everyday snapshots and street photography, while the NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 will allow users to enjoy a natural field of view and dramatic bokeh. Nikon Nikkor Z MC 105mm F2.8 VR S and Nikkor Z MC 50mm F2.8 Macro Lenses

Nikon officially announced two new Nikkor Z MC mirrorless macro lenses: the Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S and the Nikkor Z MC 50mm f/2.8. These new macro lenses are the first native Z mount Nikon lenses to provide users with a 1:1 reproduction ratio.

The NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S and NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 will be available in late June 2021 for suggested retail prices (SRP) of $999.95 and $649.95, respectively.

Panasonic Lumix GH6 Development Announcement

In addition to the Panasonic Lumix GH5 II mirrorless camera, Panasonic today also announced the development of the Panasonic Lumix GH6 camera. The GH6 will be commercialized for its release to world markets by the end of 2021.

Panasonic GH5 Mark II Officially Announced

Panasonic has announced the Lumix DC-GH5 II (GH5M2), an updated version of its video-focused Micro Four Thirds camera.

So the Panasonic Lumix GH5 II mirrorless camera is now officially announced. The US price is $1,697.99 and it will be released on June 30, 2021.

The Tokina Cinema 25–75mm T2.9 lens is available to preorder starting today for PL, E, EF, MFT and Nikon F mount camera systems for $4,999.  The lens fits between Tokina’s 11-20mm T2.9 and 50-135mm T2.9 cinema zooms.

Designed from the ground up by Tokina’s cinema division, the 25-75mm T2.9 is a modern cinema zoom lens design, with features usually reserved for higher-cost cinema zooms.  It is a constant T2.9 throughout the range, with parfocal and excellent zoom tracking with minimal image shift. Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH Lens Officially Announced

The new Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH Lens is now officially announced.  Two new bundle options with the SL2 and SL2-S were also introduced. The US price of the lens is $2,795 and available for pre-order at B&H, Adorama.

The telephoto zoom lens consists of 19 elements in 15 groups, with three of the elements having aspherical surfaces. The focus group is made up of a single element and is driven by a quiet stepping motor

The body is weather-sealed and uses 82mm filters. Lighter than the older Leica Vario Elmarit SL 24-90mm ASPH, (856g / 1.9 lb compared to 1,140g / 2.5 lb), the new lens offers similar build-quality, and a high standard of construction.
