Canon EOS R7, R10, RF-S 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM and RF-S 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens Officially Announced

Canon has officially announced two new APS-C mirrorless cameras and two new RF-S lenses. The new Canon products are the EOS R7 and EOS R10 cameras, RF-S 18–45mm F4.5–6.3 IS STM and RF-S 18–150mm F3.5–6.3 IS STM lenses.  The release date of all products is scheduled for late 2022. All the products are now available for pre-order at B&H, Adorama.

Tokina SZ 33mm f/1.2 APS-C Lens for Sony E and Fuji X Officially Announced

The Tokina SZ 33mm f/1.2 is a fully manual optical lens featuring standard angle of view and super fast aperture. The lens is designed for APS-C sensor mirrorless cameras for still and video content creators with suggested genres like landscape, portrait, snap, wedding, night sky, travel for stills, and general documentary or commercial production for video. The new Tokina lens is available for Fujifilm X and Sony E APS-C size cameras.

Panasonic announces Leica DG Summilux 9mm F1.7 lens for Micro Four Thirds

Panasonic has announced the Leica DG Summilux 9mm F1.7 lens for Micro Four Thirds camera systems.

This 18mm full-frame equivalent ultra-wide-angle lens is constructed of 12 elements in nine groups, including two aspherical elements, two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements and one Ultra High Refractive Index (UHR) element. Other features include a seven-blade aperture diaphragm, a minimum focusing distance of 9.5cm (3.7”) with a 0.25x maximum magnification ratio and a 55mm front filter thread. The lens measures 52mm (2”) long by 61mm (2.4”) in diameter and weighs 130g (4.6oz).

In addition to its firmware updates for the Z6 II, Z7 II and Z9, Nikon also announced the release of its first CFexpress Type B memory card. The new Nikon MC-CF660G 660GB CFexpress Type B memory card is now available for pre-order. Check availability at Adorama and B&H Photo.

The MC-CF660G is a CFexpress (Type B)5 memory card with a large capacity of 660 GB. It realizes a maximum read speed of approximately 1700 MB/s and maximum write speed of approximately 1500 MB/s. It is particularly suited for video/still shooting with the Nikon Z 9 full-frame/FX-format mirrorless camera.
