Laowa 58mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro APO Lens Announced

Venus Optics announced a new lens, the Laowa 58mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro APO for designed specifically for mirrorless camera systems.

The Laowa 58mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro APO sells at $499 and is available at Venus Optics and available for Canon R, Leica L, Nikon Z and Sony E mount. Venus Optics lenses are sold at Amazon, Adorama and B&H.

This manual focus macro lens offers a maximum 2:1 magnification ratio for larger-than-life macro photos. The 58mm lens is constructed of 14 elements in 11 groups, including 3 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements and 3 Ultra-High Refractive Index elements. It uses a 13 blade aperture diaphragm, has an aperture range of F2.8 through F22, has a minimum focusing distance of 18.5cm (7.3”) and uses a 67mm front filter thread. Announced: Fujifilm X-H2, Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR, and GF 20-35mm f/4 R WR

The Fujifilm X-H2 is a high-end 40MP APS-C mirrorless camera for both stills and video shooting. Its high-resolution stills and 8K video capabilities stand in contrast to the high-speed shooting and fast readout 4K capabilities of its X-H2S sister model.

The Canon XA75 and XA70 professional camcorders are both scheduled to be available in November 2022 for an estimated retail price of $2,999.00 and $2,499.00 respectively.

The Canon XA65 and XA60 professional camcorders are both scheduled to be available in October 2022 for an estimated retail price of $2,299.00 and $1,799.00 respectively.

The Canon VIXIA HF G70 prosumer camcorder is scheduled to be available in October 2022 for an estimated retail price of $1,249.00.

Sony FR7 Cinema Line PTZ Camera Announced !

Sony today has officially announced a new model in its Cinema line, the FR7. The Sony FR7 is the world’s first pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera to combine a full-frame image sensor, an interchangeable lens design, and remote shooting functionality. Tamron Launches 70–300mm F4.5–6.3 Di III RXD lens for Nikon’s Z-mount

Tamron has announced the launcg of the 70–300mm F4.5–6.3 Di III RXD lens for Nikon Z-mount camera systems. This would make it the first third-party zoom lens for Nikon Z-mount cameras with autofocus capabilities. The US price of the lens is $699 and available at B&H.
