DJI Mavic Air 2 Now Available for Pre-order

The newly announced DJI Mavic Air 2 drone is now available for pre-order at Amazon, B&H, Adorama. The US price is $799. Shipping is scheduled to start on May 11, 2020.

The DJI Mavic Air 2 comes with a better camera, more shooting modes, new tracking features, and a longer battery life. The 3-axis gimbal sports a 1/2″ CMOS sensor capable of capturing 8K Hyperlapse time-lapse shots. The Mavic Air 2 features a 48MP 1/2” Quad Bayer CMOS sensor that’s capable of recording 4K video at up to 60 frames per second (fps) with a 120Mbps data rate and 240 fps slow-motion 1080p video. Sony RX100 VIII to be Announced in October 2020?

According to the report from Sony Camera Rumors, Sony is expected to announce the new Sony RX100 VIII compact camera in October 2020 to replace the popular RX100 VII model.

Although the gossip source does not share detailed information about the Sony RX100 VIII features, the new model is predicted to include an improved 20MP sensor, new image processor and various improvements.

Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark III to be Announced Soon

Canon will soon announce the new PowerShot G9 X Mark III compact camera . The mark third version will replace the current G9 X Mark II model.

Here are the rumored specifications of Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark III:

  • 20.1mp
  • DIGIC 8
  • 4x zoom
  • 4K @ 30p
  • FHD @ 120p

Looks like the upcoming  Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark III will be the PowerShot G7 X Mark III with a slower lens and a slightly smaller build quality.

Fujifilm introduced the new INSTAX Mini 11 Instant Film Camera. The US price for INSTAX Mini 11 is $69.95, now available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon. Release date is on March 5th, 2020.

Ricoh WG-70 Ultra-Rugged Compact Camera

Ricoh has announced the Ricog WG-70 ultra rugged compact camera.  It is a 16 Megapixel 1/2.3” backside-illuminated CMOS sensor with a maximum sensitivity of ISO 6400. In addition to stills, the camera captures 1080p (Full HD) video.

The new Ricoh WG-70 is waterproof to a depth of 46 feet, shockproof from heights up to five feet, crushproof against weighs up to 100 kilograms of force and freeze-proof at temperatures down to -10C.

Canon EOS Rebel T8i / 850D Leaked Images & Specs

First images and specs of the upcoming Canon Rebel T8i / 850D camera have been leaked online. The entry-level DSLR is rumored to be announced soon.

Nikon Coolpix P950 Announced With 4K Video And RAW Support

Nikon has announced the new Nikon Coolpix P950, with 4K video, raw support, an updated screen, electronic viewfinder, and a flash hot-shoe plus more.

The new camera features a larger 3.2inch screen, a larger, higher resolution electronic viewfinder, 4K video, raw shooting, plus Bluetooth, as well as a flash hot-shoe for added compatibility with flashguns, and the Nikon DF-M1 Dot-Sight scope. Nikon P950 features the same 83x optical zoom lens, with a bright f/2.8 aperture (wide-angle), and gives an equivalent of 24-2000mm (in 35mm equivalent terms).
