Sony a6200 & a6700 Rumored to be Announced on August 29th

Sony is rumored to announce two new APS-c mirrorless cameras next week on August 29th, 2019. The products in question are the Sony a6200 and a6700.

According to recent reports Sony a6200 will be the entry-level APS-C E-mount that will replace the current a600. The second product would be the Sony a6700 which will replace currently the A6500. This will be the new flagship APS-c model.

The next camera will be an updated version of A6500 so the name of this model could be the Sony A6700. Rumors : Sony RX1R III to be Announced Soon

Sony is rumored to announce third version of its RX1R series full frame compact camera. According to recent reports the next camera would be the Sony RX1R III.

After the announcement of Sony a7R IV and RX100 VII, there are still two new unannounced camera codes registered (WW594724 and WW642826). This means two more Sony camera announcements within 1-2 months are coming.

New Sony a7R IV Tests Now Available

Here are the new Sony a7R IV tests as well as the brochure which is available for download.

Sony a7R IV has a full-frame 61MP BSI-CMOS sensor with a claimed 15 stops of dynamic range (it’s the first new sensor since 2015, according to Sony). It has a 567-point hybrid AF system (with 74% frame coverage) with real-time eye, human and animal AF. The camera can shoot at 10 fps with continuous AF for up to 68 photos.

Sony officially announced the new RX100 VII 1″ pocket-sized camera packing a wealth of stills and video versatility. The US price is $1,198 and it is now available for pre-order at AmazonB&H Photo VideoAdorama.

Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art Lens for Full Frame Mirrorless

Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art is an ultra-fast semi-wide-angle prime lens for full-frame Sony, Panasonic and Leica mirrorless bodies. The lens, which Sigma claims can resolve over 50 million pixels, contains a total of 17 elements, including aspherical and ‘SLD’ glass. The minimum focus distance is 30cm (~11″), with a max magnification of 0.2x.

The Sigma 35mm f/1.2 is fairly hefty, weighing over 1kg (2.4lbs) with a length of 136mm (5.4″). This is compared to the older 35mm F1.4 Art, which weighs 665g (1.5lb) and measures 94mm (3.7″) in length. The filter ring of the new 35mm F1.2 is supersized too, at 82mm.

The lens has an aperture ring that can be clicked or de-clicked, as well as a customizable AFL button. Build quality appears high, with a weather-sealed enclosure and a coating on the front element to repel oil and water.
