Sony Registered Two New Cameras : a7 IV and a9 III?

Sony registered two new cameras (1VY002 and 1VY003) that have passed FCC certification. These two new cameras could be the previously rumored Sony a7 IV and Sony a9 III models..

Both Sony cameras are equipped with Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth 5. Below are what we know so far about these two new Sony cameras (Sony a7 IV and a9 III).

  • Slight bigger and more comfortable body than Sony a7 III

  • Dual SD and CFexpress Type A card slots
  • New menu system from Sony a7S III
  • 5-axis in-body stabilization with Steady shot active mode
  • Price $2,499
  • Announcement probably in Q3 of 2021

  • 50MP full-frame CMOS image sensor
  • Bigger and truly pro body
  • 9.44M dots EVF
  • Newly developed sensor
  • 8K30p video recording with no overheating
  • Dual card slots
  • New menu systems from Sony a7S III
  • IBIS with Steady shot active mode
  • Everything about this camera is new
  • Price 5,999 USD
  • Released in the first quarter of 2021 (CES show on January 11?)
