Accordingly, we can say that the next GM-series lens will be Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM Lens (SEL50F12 GM). Designed for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras, the Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM lens will be officially announced on March 16th, 2021.

Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM Lens Rumors
The upcoming FE 50mm f/1.2 GM lens (SEL50F12 GM) is rumored to arrive on March 16th, 2021. This will be a truly fast prime offering a portrait-length perspective. The Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.2 Aspherical Lens for Sony E-mount is also another option which is available at Adorama and B&H.
Latest lens in GM series is the FE 35mm F1.4 GM lens and it is currently on sale for $1,399 at B&HPhoto, Adorama and Amazon. According to reports from Nokishita the next lens from the Japanese manufacturer is going to be the FE 50mm f/1.2 GM (SEL50F12 GM) to compete with the Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM and Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S lenses.
Recent F1.4 GM lenses are relatively compact and very high performance lenses while it will be interesting to see how the first E-mount F1.2 lens look like.
