The long awaited Sony a7S III is expected to be announced in early 2020, probably at NAB Show in April.
As you know Sony introduced the a9 II ($4,498 Pre-Order Now), which adds a host of features for the working professional, along with a refined design largely borrowed from the a7R IV. Here’s what’s new on Sony a9 II camera.
Sony currently has no new camera code got registered, this means there will be no new Sony cameras to be announced in next 1-3 months. So if you guys are waiting for the Sony a7S III, then it will probably be at NAB 2020 at the earliest.
Below are rumored specs of upcoming Sony a7SIII:
- Sony a7S III will shoot 4K video at 120p, but it will not shoot 8K video.
- Sony a7S III will have a cooling fan similar as recently announced Panasonic Lumix S1H. (see here)
- We think for the Sony A7S III, the company will choose the 24MP BSI sensor (not stacked) from the Sony A7 III. As always take it with a grain of salt and stay tuned with us for more information.
The Sony a9 mirrorless camera is now $1000 off at Amazon, B&H, Adorama for $3,498.
