Sony A1 vs Canon EOS R3 size comparison

Here is the Sony A1 vs Canon EOS R3 size comparison image. Interesting to see both pro mirrorless cameras with different body and grip.

As you know Canon has revealed the first details of its high-end EOS R3 pro mirrorless camera. As you can see from the product image, the new Canon EOS R3 features a large, one-piece design with an integrated vertical grip, much like company’s 1D-series DSLRs.

With the dual-grip design, the Canon EOS R3 will be able to shoot at up to 30 frames per second with full AF, but isn’t branded as a successor to the EOS-1D series of pro sports DSLRs.

Sony A1 vs Canon EOS R3

The Sony A1 has a 50 megapixel Stacked, Back-Side Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor. We don’t know the megapixel count of the Canon EOS R3 yet, but it will also use a stacked BSI sensor, just like the one on the Sony A1.

In many ways, the EOS R3 is shaping up to be a direct competitor to the Sony A1 and the upcoming Nikon Z9, in particular. You can find the size comparison of Sony A1 vs Canon EOS R3.
