Samyang AF 75mm f/1.8 FE Lens Officially Announced

Samyang, also known as Rokinon, has announced the new small and compact AF 75mm f/1.8 FE portrait lens for Sony full frame E-mount camera system. See all Samyang AF lenses for Sony E-mount.

The Samyang AF 75mm f/1.8 FE Lens is only 230g in weight and 69mm in height, this makes it one of the lightest portrait lenses on the market – and Samyang claims to be the lightest specifically at 75mm. And this lens will be available for less than $400.

This Samyang AF 75mm f/1.8 FE Lens is the 5th member of Samyang’s “Tiny but Almighty” AF series lenses, which joins Samyang’s AF 18mm, 24mm, 35mm f/2.8 and 45mm f/1.8 models.

Samyang AF 14mm f/2.8 RF Lens for Canon RF Mount

Samyang AF 14mm f/2.8 RF lens is the first auto-focus lens for the Canon EOS R mirrorless camera system.  The new model joins the company’s similar AF 14mm f/2.8 EF lens for Canon EF, featuring a 113.9-degree wide angle of view (89.8-degree APS-C) thanks to 14 elements in 10 groups, including one high-reflective element, two extra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements.

Rokinon/Samyang AF 45mm f/1.8 FE Lens Announced

Rokinon has officially announced the new Samyang AF 45mm f/1.8 FE lens today. This is a very compact FE lens for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras. The US price for this lens is $399 and available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video.

A simple but effective lens, the Rokinon 45mm offers a relatively fast f/1.8 maximum aperture to balance size and speed as it manages to weigh just 5.7 oz and measure 2.2″ long. It uses aspherical and extra-low dispersion elements to minimize various aberrations and an Ultra Multi-Coating reduces flare and ghosting. Samyang AF 85mm f/1.4 F, MF 14mm f/2.8 Z, MF 85mm f/1.4 Z Lenses for Nikon

The Samyang AF 85mm F1.4 FE will be available Spring 2019. Pricing to be determined later.

We can have a look at the Canon EF version of this Samyang lens as it is is priced at $579 at Amazon.  Sure Sony user will wait and see if the real world images provide the same quality as the Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM lens ($1,798).
