Coming Next : Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN | Contemporary Lens

The next lens from Sigma will be the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN | Contemporary. The lens will probably be in L-mount and Sony E.

Sigma lenses have been getting more and more popular in recent years. product line consists mainly of variable aperture zoom lenses for general use, such as standard and telephoto zoom lenses for APS-C cameras (the Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 OS HSM Macro C, for example).

The next lens that Sigma will announce will be “18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary”. I was able to confirm the L mount and E mount from a review article of a certain photographer, but it is unconfirmed whether other mounts will be released.

Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 Lens to be Announced Soon

The new Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 lens has been added to overseas retailers and it will be announced very soon. Official announcement expected in the next several days.

As you know Nikon announced the development of the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 and NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2,  compact and lightweight FX-format lenses on June 2, 2021.

The NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 is being developed as a wide-angle prime lens perfect for everyday snapshots, and the NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 as a standard prime lens that will allow users to easily enjoy bokeh as part of their imaging expression. These two compact and lightweight prime lenses are designed for ease of use by a broad range of users, including those new to mirrorless cameras, and will be ideal for a wide variety of everyday scenes and situations.

Rumors : Sony to Announce the FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II & FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II Lenses

Some good rumors about next Sony GM lenses. Looks like they are going to be the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II (SEL2470GM II) and Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II (SEL70200GM II).

Both the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM and the FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM lenses are part of the holy trinity Sony lenses, and updating is essential.

The recently introduced GM lenses (FE 35mm f/1.4 GM, FE 50mm f/1.2 GM and FE 14mm f/1.8 GM) are compact and high-performance. We expect the upgrade Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II and FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II lenses will be significantly more compact and outstanding!

As is known, these lenses offer very good optical quality and excellent performance and are ideal for portraits, event and wedding photography as well as general shooting.

GoPro Hero 10 Black Specs and Images Leaked

Here are the very first leaked images and specifications of the upcoming GoPro Hero 10 Black action camera.

According to the German website WinFuture.de, the GoPro Hero 10 Black action camera will reportedly sport a new image sensor that increases the resolution from 20-megapixels to 23-megapixels, and it is capable of recording video at up to 5.3K/60fps resolution or 4K/120fps resolution, as well as 2.7K video at 240fps for slow-motion. Fujifilm X-T30 Mark II Features Will Not Include IBIS

Official announcement of the Fujifilm X-T30 Mark II is expected to happen soon. According to latest reports, the mid-range APS-c mirrorless camera will not feature IBIS tech.

Fujifilm will hold a major announcement event on September 2nd. In addition to the  Fujifilm X-T30 Mark II, the company will also unveil the Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II, GF 35-70mm f/4.5-5.6 lens and the new XF 33mm f/1.4 R WR and XF 23mm f/1.4 Mark II lenses on September 2nd.

Sony a7 IV to be Announced in October 2021 w/ 33MP Sensor!

The Sony a7 IV camera is rumored to be announced by the end of October 2021. The announcement of the Sony a7 IV will be delayed due to the worldwide chip production shortage.

According to latest Sony rumors, the Sony a7 IV will use a newly developed 33MP full-frame sensor and 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE sensor-shift image stabilization. This IBIS tech will be effective to minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to 5.5 stops, 4K 60p video recording as well as a $2499 price tag and more.

It will be interesting to see how far the dynamic range and readout performance of this newly developed sensor will evolve in Sony A7 IV. In addition, the image stabilization has been improved from the current 5 stops of the Sony a7 III to 5.5 stops, which is equivalent to the Sony a7R IV. Sigma is rumored to announce two new lenses for Sony E and Leica L mount full frame mirrorless cameras. The two Sigma lenses are on the horizon and expected to be announced in the next few months.

The Canon EOS R3 full-frame mirrorless camera is already listed at B&H Photo. This will be the Canon’s answer to the Sony A1 and Nikon Z9. According to latest rumors, the new EOS R3 full-frame mirrorless camera will be announced on September 14.
