Ricoh GR III & GR IIIx Will Be in Short Supply

Ricoh Japan issued a statement that the Ricoh GR III & GR IIIx camera will be in short supply.

Thank you for your continued patronage of our products.

Currently, there is a delay in procuring some parts used in “RICOH GR III”, so it may take some time before delivery. In addition, regarding the “RICOH GR IIIx” scheduled to be released on October 1, 2021, the first sale will be available, but it may take some time before delivery in the future as well.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers and related parties.

We appreciate your understanding.

Ricoh announces a new GR IIIx camera with 40mm lens equivalent. The previous GRIII version had a 28mm lens equivalent). Pre-orders should be open soon at Adorama and B&H.

Ricoh has introduced the Pentax K-3 Mark III (First Impressions) camera last month, it comes with a new 25.7 MP BSI CMOS APS-C sensor, no anti-aliasing filters, 14 bits, 12 shots per second continuous shooting, ISO up to ISO 1,600,000, PRIME V image processing according to Pentax. Better image detail, best noise reduction in low light.

Pentax K-3 Mark III Firmware Update 1.01 released

Ricoh has released a firmware version 1.01 update for its latest flagship Pentax K-3 Mark III APS-C SLR camera.

The new firmware brings the following improvements:

  • Improved stability of performance when battery power is low condition.
  • Corrected – In rare cases, images are not recorded correctly when shooting continuously in RAW format.
  • Improved stability for general performance.

Pentax K3 Mark III Release Date Scheduled for Next Week

The highly anticipated Pentax K3 Mark III is now scheduled to be released next week. Here is the story.

Ricoh was set to launch the camera during the CP+ 2021 event, however, the launch of the Pentax K-3 Mark III APS-C DSLR has been delayed. This was due to a parts shortage.

Now according to rcent reports, the new Pentax K-3 Mark III Body, PENTAX K-3 Mark III Kit & Battery Grip D-BG8 have been added to overseas dealers and will be available for pre-order next week.

The K-3 Mark III camera will have a new 25.73MP APS-C CMOS image sensor. ISO will range from 100 all the way up to 1,600,000 and the camera will feature sensor-shift image stabilization. The Pentax K-3 price to be around $1,999.

Several new Pentax products, including the K-3 Mark III, are already listed at a dealer/online store and will be available for pre-order next week:

  • PENTAX K-3 Mark III camera body (black/silver)
  • PENTAX K-3 Mark III lens kit (black/silver)
  • PENTAX battery grip D-BG8
  • PENTAX hot shoe cover O-HC177

The Pentax K-3 Mark III firmware with Eye-AF also seems to be finalized according to multiple posts at the Chinese forum Xitek.
