Nikon Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S Lens tested at DxOMark website. According to test results the brigh prime Nikon lens achieved an overall score of 38 points. 

Tested on the high-resolution 45.7MP Nikon Z 7 full frame mirrorless camera, the Nikkor Z 35mm F1.8 S ranks as the highest-scoring Nikon 35mm lens with an impressive sharpness sub-score of 30 PMpix at f/4.

Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens Tested at DxOMark

Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens tested at DxOMark website. According to test results the RF 50mm f/1.2L USM lens achieved an overall score of 38 points. 

The lens tested on the Canon EOS R, the company’s 30.3Mp full-frame mirrorless camera, and it compares well with Canon’s previous 50mm f/1.2 lens.

This score puts the Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L among the top five 50mm lenses in DxOMark’s rating. However, it’s clearly below the score of lenses that costs much less, e.g. the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSMand the Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/1.4. Continue reading “Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens Tested at DxOMark”

Video Review: Fujifilm XF 200mm F2 R LM OIS WR Lens

DPRTV published a short film about the Fujinon XF 200mm F2 R LM OIS WR lens. The whole episode was filmed on the Fujifilm GFX 100, while attending Fujikina in Japan using a pre-production model.

Video Review : NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is the Best 24-70mm f/2.8 Lens

Tony Northrup published his test results and review for the new NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Lens (B&H Photo/Adorama/Amazon).

We already know that the new standart zoom lens for Nikon full frame mirrorless cameras is 25% smaller and 18% lighter, with a totally redesigned optical formula comprising 17 elements in 15 groups, compared to the AF-S 24-70mm F2.8 for F-mount.

Tony Northrup also compares this lens with Nikon’s legendary AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR lens and Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens and Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM Lens. He says the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens on Nikon Z6 & Z7 has best image quality and results compared to other lenses.
