Panasonic GH6 Camera Might Use Sony 41MP Sensor

According to latest reports the upcoming Panasonic GH6 camera may use the Sony 41MP Sensor [IMX594CQR].

Panasonic is rumored to announce the Lumix GH6 Micro Four Thirds camera sometime in 2020. Earlier Panasonic rumors claims that the upcoming video-centric mirrorless camera is expected to be on display at Photokina 2020 event. Possible release date of the Lumix GH6 should be at CP+ 2021 in February. The rumor mill also claims that there will be three models GH6V, GH6 and GH6X.

There has been several talks about a new 41 Megapixel 8K Micro Four Thirds sensor from Sony that may be used on the upcoming Panasonic GH6 camera.

The Panasonic GH6 is in development and will feature 8K support. This new Sony sensor features a 41MP and records 8K videos. Looks like an ideal sensor for a future GH6 or E-M1 Mark III.
