Fujifilm released a new firmware update version 1.11 for the Fujifilm X-T30 II mirrorless camera.

  • The firmware bug has been fixed, which caused that the image sometimes became darker when selecting “RESOLUTION PRIORITY” in the [BOOST SETTING] after selecting “BOOST” in the [PERFORMANCE].

New MFT Cameras to be Announced in 2022

According to recent reports, there will be new MFT cameras coming in 2022.  The products on the horizon are Panasonic G9 Mark II  and Olympus E-M5 Mark IV.

After the big announcements of Olympus OM-1 and Panasonic GH6, some people may be worried that the release of the new Micro Four Thirds products may have entered a very slow and boring period.

But there will be more new MFT cameras announced in 2022. We’re collecting detailed information on those new models, but if  Panasonic Lumix GH6 (B&H, Adorama) and OM SYSTEM OM-1 ($2,199.99 USD at B&HPhoto and Adorama) are too expensive for you, you should wait for the next camera.

We don’t know if it’s Panasonic, OM-D’S, or both, but it seems likely that some kind of Micro Four Thirds camera will come out later this year. Even the details of the new model is unknown at the moment, it seems that we may expect the successor to Panasonic G9  and  Olympus E-M5 Mark III.

New Firmware Ver.1.2 for Panasonic GH6 Released

Panasonic released the new firmware Ver.1.2 for the Panasonic Lumix DC-GH6 (Amazon, B&H, Adorama).  This new camera is now in stock and shipping in most US stores.

Panasonic GH6 Firmware Version 1.2

  1. There were cases where magenta or green cast was seen on the live view image during photo shooting/video recording. This bug has been fixed.
  2. When recording video in [5.7K/5.8K] with a wide-angle lens and the [E-Stabilization(Video)] is set to ON, there were cases where particular part of the image frames were vertically shifted throughout the footage depending on the focal length. This bug has been fixed.

Nikon Unveils 800mm F6.3 VR S super telephoto lens for Z-mount

Nikon reveals its new 800mm F6.3 VR S super telephoto lens for Z-mount cameras. The US price of the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR PF S Lens is $6500. B&HPhoto already published the product page for the NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S lens.

The new lens is constructed of 22 elements in 14 groups, including one PF element, three extra-low dispersion (ED) elements and one Short-Wavelength Refractive (SR) element. Ir features a nine-blade rounded aperture diaphragm, includes a fluorine coating on the front-most element and has a minimum focusing distance of five meters (14.5ft).

Tamron 20mm, 24mm, 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 Lens Firmware Ver.3 Now Available

Tamron released a new firmware update for 20mm, 24mm, and 35mm F2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 Lenses. The new firmware solves the issue of focus mode may switch from AF to MF during video recording with the SONY α7IV.

These ‘Di III OSD M1:2’ lenses are in three focal lengths: a 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2, 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2, and 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 lens. Rumors : Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens Coming Soon

According to latest Sony rumors, the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II will be announced next. After the announcement of the new Sony FE PZ 16-35mm f/4 G lens, it is expected that Sony will announce two more lenses. It is being said that the first one will be Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens and the other one would be the FE 85mm f/1.2 GM lens.

As mentioned earlier, Sony ZV-style cameras and the a7R V and a9 III will be available later this year.
