Nikon Z9 v2.0, Z6II v1.40 and Z7II v1.40 Firmware Updates Released

Nikon released new firmware updates for the Z9 flagship mirrorless camera as well as the Z6 II and Z7 II.

As promised for April 20th, Nikon released major firmware updates for the Nikon Z6II (v1.40), Nikon Z7II (v1.40), and Nikon Z9 (v2.0). Firmware v.2.0 for the Z9 brings high-performance updates while firmware v.1.4 for the Z6 II and Z7 II improves focusing for stills and video.

New OM System 40-150mm f/4 PRO Lens Reviews

Here are the first reviews of the OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4 PRO Lens.

The OM System 40-150mm F4.0 PRO is a weather-sealed telephoto zoom lens that offers an 80-300mm full-frame equivalent field of view. The lens is IP53 rated for dust- and splash-resistance when paired with a weather sealed camera, such as OM System’s new OM-1 Micro Four Thirds camera. It’s constructed of 15 elements in nine groups, uses a seven-blade circular aperture diaphragm and has a minimum focusing distance of 70cm (27.5″). The lens’ autofocus (AF) is driven via OM Systems’ Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) system, which OM Systems claims ‘benefits both photo and video applications due to its smooth, quiet, and fast performance.’

In addition to the new Nikon Z9 and Z6 II & Z7 II firmware updates, and the Nikon MC-N10 Remote Grip, Nikon also officially announced a new MC-CF660G high-performance CFexpress Type B memory card.

The MC-CF660G is a CFexpress (Type B) memory card with a large capacity of 660 GB. It realizes a maximum read speed of approximately 1700 MB/s and maximum write speed of approximately 1500 MB/s. It is particularly suited for video/still shooting with the Nikon Z9 full-frame/FX-format mirrorless camera.

The new Nikon MC-CF660G High Performance CFexpress Card will be available starting in June for a suggested retail price of $729.95.
