Nikon Announces Firmware Version 2.00 For Nikon Z8 Full-FrameMirrorless Camera

Nikon has introduced an upgraded firmware version 2.00, which is designed to enhance the shooting experience for users of the Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera.

The new firmware is the Z 8’s first major update since its launch, offering users a significant improvement to their shooting – whether that be of images or video –thanks to the inclusion of cutting-edge functions also found in the Nikon Z 9 and the Nikon Z f.

Nikon Z8 is the perfect companion to the Nikon Z 9 and is a great successor to the D850. The Z8 offers the majority of the same features but in a smaller body. Inside the camera are the same 45.7-megapixel stacked CMOS sensor and EXPEED 7 processor that sit in the Z9. This enables the Nikon Z8 to record in-camera 12-bit raw video at up to 8.3K at 60p or 4.1K at 120p.

Fujifilm X100VI Rumored Specs

Fujifilm is set to elevate the X100 series with the upcoming X100VI, the camera is expected around February 20th.

The upcoming X100VI looks to take everything up a notch with some major rumored upgrades under the hood. Headlining the specs is a new 40MP APS-C sensor, which would be the same high-resolution chip found in the Fujifilm X-H2 camera. Paired with the latest generation X-Processor 5 chip, we can expect stunning levels of detail along with improved noise control at higher ISOs.

The hybrid viewfinder will allegedly receive an upgrade to 3.69 million dots resolution, providing an extremely sharp and detailed electronic view for critical manual focusing applications. Autofocus performance also looks to make a big leap forward thanks to advanced subject detection algorithms that can recognize animals, birds, vehicles, and people.

On the video side, the X100VI topped out at 4K/30p but the VI may offer 6.2K recording along with 4K up to 60fps. This would make the new model much more viable as a video camera for vlogging and travel documentaries.
