Nikon officially announced the new NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S lens with a built-in 1.4x teleconverter. The US price is $15,496.95, and it is now available for pre-order at Amazon, B&H, Adorama.
With its built-in 1.4x teleconverter, this lens is the longest Z-mount lens Nikon has manufactured to date, with an effective focal length of 840mm. There are a total of 19 elements in the lens (26 with the teleconverter), including 3 ED elements, 2 Super ED elements, and 2 short-wavelength refractive (SR) elements.
This Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S lens is a super-telephoto prime designed to withstand the challenges of shooting sports and wildlife. In addition to its long focal length, brilliant f/4 design, fast AF, and powerful VR, this NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S lens stands out because of its built-in 1.4x teleconverter, which allows for almost quick change to an effective 840mm f/5.6 for even longer reach when necessary.
