Canon recently registered a new RF mount superzoom lens. The patent application describes the Canon RF 24-300mm f/4-5.6 lens.
The Canon RF 24-300mm f/4-5.6 lens will be a consumer oriented lens for the company’s full frame EOS R system. Canon previously filed several RF superzoom lens patents. These lenses are the Canon RF 24-170mm f/4 Lens, Canon RF 28-135mm f/4 Lens, Canon RF 28-280mm f/2.8 Lens.
Canon patent application P2019-219679A (Japan) discusses the optical formula for an RF 24-300mm f/4-5.6 lens.
