As mentioned before, Nikon is going to release a new Nikon Z-mount mirrorless camera that will be priced below $1,000. New Nikon mirrorless camera is said to be similar to Canon’s EOS RP, aimed at a large group of customers.
Adorama Refurbished Sale: D850 $2,697, D500 $1,299, 24-70 f/2.8E $1,549, 24-120 f/4G $499 and More
Remember at CP+ 2019 a Nikon executive confirmed that a new entry-level Nikon Z mirrorless camera will be coming to compete against the Canon EOS RP (B&H, Adorama, Amazon). This new Nikon entry-level full frame mirrorless camera will probably be called Nikon Z1 or Z3 or Z5.
Translated from NIKKEI:
Nikon will introduce a new mid-price mirrorless camera product in fiscal 2019. The same interchangeable lens can be used with products that correspond to sister models such as the high-end model “Z7” launched by the company in the autumn of 18th. It is expected that the price will be in the 100,000 yen range, which is easier for the general consumer to pick up than the leading 200,000 to 400,000 yen model. The aim is to develop the demand of users other than existing enthusiasts.
