Olympus released a new firmware update. Version 3.4 for the OM-D E-M1 Mark II, Version 2.0 for the OM-D E-M1X and Version 1.2 for OM-D E-M1 Mark III now available for download.
This new firmware provides feature enhancements for photographers and ability to use focus stacking photography with M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm f/4.5 TC 1.25x IS PRO lens which is $7500 at Adorama and B&HPhoto.

[ Precautions when updating firmware ]
When updating the firmware from version 1.x/2.x/3.0/3.1 to 3.4, the camera settings are reset. When updating the firmware from version 3.2/3.3 to 3.4, the camera settings are maintained.

[ Precautions when updating firmware ]
- Be sure to have a fully charged battery in the camera.
Without sufficient power, the update may fail or will not start. - It takes time to complete the update depending on the internet speed due to the large file size for the firmware.
- Do not disconnect the USB cable during the update until the OK icon is displayed.
It takes about 5 minutes until the OK icon is displayed after the writing icon is displayed on the monitor of the camera.
