Canon is rumored to be working on a Nifty-Fifty for the EOS R full frame mirrorless camera system. As a result the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 showed up at a certification authority.
According to the latest RF mount lens roadmap the company is still planning to announce two new RF lenses in the next several months: RF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens and RF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM lens. More details after the break.
Recently, two new lenses with SKUs 4514C005 and 4515C005 have been registered with overseas certification bodies. And it seems the “4515C005” refers to the upcoming Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens. We hope to see the official announcement of the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens before the end of 2020.
