Here is up-to-date full list of the EF-mount Canon lenses that have been discontinued by the company. In addition to the EF 40mm lens, Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 and EF 800mm f/5.6L IS lenses are now also discontinued.

Canon is now working hard on the new Canon EOS R series mirrorless cameras and RF-mount mirrorless lenses. And they will announce three new RF lenses in late April 2021.
